Top 20 US restaurants

I sometimes find myself dwelling on hotels and accommodation too much on A Luxury Travel Blog, and don’t pay enough attention to others such as bars, restaurants and the like. To make up for that, I’m listing the first 20 of Zagat’s current top 100 restaurants (even if they are mostly situated in hotels or inns) in the USA, complete with links:
- French Room at The Adolphus Hotel – Dallas, Texas
- Fountain Restaurant at Four Seasons Hotel – Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
- Dining Room at Little Palm Island Resort – Little Torch Key, Florida
- Inn at Little Washington – Washington, Virginia
- Maestro at Ritz-Carlton Tysons Corner – McLean, Virginia
- Hampton’s at Harbor Court Hotel – Baltimore, Maryland
- Aujourd’hui at Four Seasons Hotel – Boston, Massachusetts
- La Mer at Halekulani Hotel – Honolulu, Hawaii
- Ritz-Carlton Buckhead Dining Room at Ritz-Carlton Buckhead – Atlanta, Georgia
- Picasso at Bellagio Hotel – Las Vegas, Nevada
- Sierra Mar at Post Ranch Inn – Big Sur, California
- Thomas Henkelmann at Homestead Inn – Greenwich, Connecticut
- L’Etoile at Charlotte Inn – Edgartown, Massachusetts
- Mary Elaine’s at The Phoenician – Scottsdale, Arizona
- New Orleans Grill at Windsor Court Hotel – New Orleans, Louisiana
- Rugby Grille at Townsend Hotel – Birmingham, Michigan
- Marquesa at Fairmont Scottsdale Princess – Scottsdale, Arizona
- Hotel St. Germain at Hotel St. Germain – Dallas, Texas
- Swann Lounge at Four Seasons Hotel – Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
- The Belvedere at The Peninsula Beverly Hills – Beverly Hills, California
Rather impressively, two of the restaurants are located in the same hotel. I’ll leave you to work that out and spot them!
Dinner at the Inn at Little Washington was one of the most amazing dining experiences we have ever had.
Just a note L’Etoile is no longer at the Charlotte Inn in Martha’s Vineyard. Still in town and still wonderful, but not at the Inn. Catch on the Terrace is the new restaurant at the Inn.
Makes me want to visit the Four Seasons in Philadelphia just to try out the restaurants!
Picasso in Vegas is excellent. Great food and elegant service in a great hotel.
well i’m due to go to philadelphia soon for work so i may have to make a pit stop in the four seasons, although my american friends have assured me that philadelphia is full of fab restaurants and rate it higher than new york for foodie heaven, can’t wait to try them out. will report back.
