Paradise Point Resort is a great hotel, I was lucky enough to have a conference there and extended my stay after that. It is on a island in mission bay and most of the rooms are like beach style bungalows many overlooking the beaches that surrounds the island other face the lagoond and lakes on the island. The hotel is just down the road from sea world and a short drive from downtown San Diego. The spa is fab and the restaurants are great. My only gripe is that they charge a daily rate for the gym, but with all those beaches I took to running round the island instead.
