The world’s tallest building

Burj Dubai under constructionDubai will soon be home to the world’s tallest building, the Burj Dubai (which is currently about 480 metres tall). It  will unofficially become the world’s tallest when it surpasses the 509-metre mark set by the Taipei 101 early next month. However, it won’t be until 2008 – when construction has been completed – that it will be officially recognised as the world’s tallest building by the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH).

  1. I’ve never been interested in skyscrapers but the food court in Taipei 101 sounds like a must visit.

  2. taipei 101 is pretty spectacular and was one of the many sites i visited in taipei early last year – was very pleasantly surprised by taiwan, next time i am visiting for longer.

The khalifa burj dubai is also pretty amazing and the dubai mall attached to it is a shopper’s paradise there is definitely something for everyone in there!
