Theme parks coming to Dubai

Sometimes heralded as the fastest growing city in the world, Dubai will not only soon have the world’s tallest building, but also a number of world class theme parks. Universal Parks & Resorts have agreed a partnership to build University City Dubailand – Dubai’s own version of Orlando – and Marvel has plans for a $1 billion park come 2011, also in Dubai. And, if that wasn’t already enough, the latest is that Paramount are getting in on the game. Ruwaad Holdings plan to spend $2.5 billion on a Paramount Pictures-branded park in the Middle East, with the city of Dubai being considered to house the project. It would seem it’s all happening in Dubai!
