Desroches Island Resort

A recent visit by Prince William and girlfriend Kate Middleton has boosted the popularity of this previously little-known Seychelles resort. Desroches Island Resort has just 20 suites, 14 kilometres of pristine, white beaches and offers superb cuisine through a Creole style restaurant by the name of Le Veloutier. Also on hand is a bar, a spa and numerous sporting and leisure activities.

The couple reportedly landed at the international airport on Mahe at 7:20 am local time before going to an undisclosed island. Desroches have built 29 luxurious villas along the beach on the opposite side of the landing strip to the main restaurant and suites complex. They are beautiful and private and stunningly decorated, each with its own private garden and infinity pool. In villa dining is available and all villas come with complimentary use of bikes.
I suspect William and Kate would have stayed in one of these, rather than a suite!
