Yep… you read that right. New York’s first ever ‘Chocolate Week’ is about to get underway! The event begins tomorrow and, as well as an exhibition, will include a number of participating restaurants offering everything from chocolate cocktails to entire chocolate menus (both sweet and savoury). Among the participating restaurants are Artisanal, Butter, Le Cirque, Country and P*ong. More information is available from chocolateshow.com
Alas, New York is on the other side of the country from me, but the event sure sounds yummy.

Yes, yes, YES! I live for chocolate week! Be sure to check out Jo-Jo’s on East 64th, and Payard on Lexington. Their deserts are always to die for, but during chocolate week? Fuhgettaboutit!
As a chocolate fiend, I’m quite capable of traveling about the country in search of the perfect chocolate fest.
I love New York’s, but I’m also a fan of the one in San Francisco every July . . . their “International Chocolate Salon.” Its name makes it sound imposing, but it’s something the whole family can enjoy. Take your kids for the trip . . . their are some great family-friendly hotels in SF.
