Nick Faldo Golf Package from Victoria Angkor Resort & Spa, Siem Reap

Nick Faldo Golf Package$251 per person will buy you the Nick Faldo Golf Package from Victoria Angkor Resort & Spa, Siem Reap. It includes 2 nights accommodation in a superior room, airport transfers, and a round of golf (caddy included) on the new Nick Faldo golf course close to Angkor Wat.   This leaves you with ample remaining time to visit a temple or two in this UNESCO World Heritage site. And if one of you couldn’t care less about golf, you can substitute your round for a half-day spa package – just to ensure everyone’s happy!   The offer runs until the end of September 2008.

  1. I’m very interested to read that Cambodia has started to create golfing packages for tourists. Thailand has successfully been doing it for years.

Cambodia is a wonderful country with wonderful people so I would urge people to go there and help their economy. My only concern is that too many tourists can change the focus of a place and encourage greed in some of the locals, thus spoiling a place.

Many would-be tourists to Cambodia are worried about land mines. And that’s certainly an important issue. The main rule is not to stray off the well-beaten tracks. There’s an interesting(ish) land mine museum about half an hour’s moto drive to it from Siem Reap.

It’s definitely worth a visit. (I have some photos of it which I’ve never got around to doing anything with yet.)
