British Royal Wedding to be shown on board Royal Caribbean cruises

Royal Caribbean will air the Royal nuptials of HRH Prince William of Wales, KG and Catherine ‘Kate’ Middleton live across all 40 ships in it fleet on 29th April 2011. Nearly 90,000 British, Irish and international guests are guaranteed not to miss out on the Royal Wedding when sailing on Royal Caribbean International, Celebrity Cruises and Azamara Club Cruises. The entire ceremony will be broadcast live from Westminster Abbey to a number of venues throughout each Royal family ship, as well as on stateroom televisions. For those ships departing from Southampton on 29th April 2011, further special arrangements will be made. Passengers boarding Celebrity Cruises’ Eclipse can take a seat in the Theatre to watch the ceremony before the ship sets sail on a 4-night Cork cruise. On Royal Caribbean’s Independence of the Seas, sailing on 27th April 2011 to Paris (Le Harve), the wedding will be shown in Studio B, the Pyramid Lounge and the 1,320 seat Alhambra Theatre during the 3 night sailing to Paris. On both ships, plans include Champagne, flags and a festive atmosphere to support the celebrations taking place around Westminster Abbey and on The Mall in London.

  1. I would be surprised if many people were planning on changing their cruise holiday plans due to the Royal Wedding, that said I am sure many people will enjoy being able to watch the Wedding whilst at sea.

  2. After what the dress looks like i am wondering where they will go on honeymoon – maybe they might browse this blog for some ideas!
