Escaping to Australia’s Heron Island just got easier

Virgin Australia’s new twice-daily service from Brisbane to Gladstone, Mondays to Fridays, allows visitors to Australia even easier access to the tropical paradise of Heron Island. Renowned for wonderful diving and snorkelling right off the island’s beautiful white sandy beaches, Heron Island is the perfect introduction to the delights of Australia’s Great Barrier Reef with its plethora of amazing underwater wildlife.   And with turtle nesting season in the early stages in December, it is perfect for nature lovers looking to get up close and personal with these fascinating creatures as they begin their slow journey up the pristine beaches on both Heron and neighbouring Wilson Islands to lay their eggs.
