A closer look at the Grand Mirage Resort and Thalasso Bali

With Bali airport just a 20 minute drive away, the 5 star Grand Mirage Resort and Thalasso Bali can be conveniently found on a gorgeous white sand beach (at the tip of the Nusa Dua beach), set in beautifully landscaped gardens in the village of Tanjung Benoa.  This luxury resort has 301 stylish guest rooms, 4 world class gourmet restaurants, pool bar and bar lounge, spa, wedding chapel, venues for private functions and even its own theatre stage. There are various different room types to choose from including 151 Deluxe Garden rooms with private balconies and views of the beautifully landscaped gardens with its Balinese statues and hidden ponds. There are also 101 Deluxe Ocean rooms with views of the beach, 26 Romantic Ocean View rooms and 22 Ocean View Suite rooms, with views of the turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean. For families there are Family Ocean View suites – these spacious “rooms” can accommodate up 6 adults and, among other amenities, each have three luxury Jacuzzis. All rooms come with a few Balinese touches, 32″ LCD TV, fine bedding, complimentary WiFi and all the little extras you might expect. Families will also appreciate the Bamboo Kids Club, but there are also many other facilities that might have wider appeal. For instance, the resort includes a gym, two bars, a business centre, tennis courts and even mahjong rooms and a karaoke lounge. The hotel also has 4 world class gourmet restaurants, one of which is open 24 hours a day. The resortÂ’s main restaurant, Grand Café, serves breakfast, lunch and dinner with views of the hotel’s freeform pool. The oceanside “Jukung” restaurant serves a combination of seafood and Australian BBQ dishes,  La Cascata Restaurant serves Italian food and Chopstick Restaurant – as its name might suggest – specialises in Chinese delicacies. The Grand Mirage also offers signature themed buffet dinners which include traditional Balinese music and dance performances for an enjoyable alternative. The thalasso spa should also not be missed. Each of the 16 spa rooms has been individually designed and the aquamedic pool is heated to a temperature of 38 degrees Centigrade, and comes complete with a water station massage and exercising bar to help increase muscle tone and reduce cellulite. A treatment here -using the finest sea salt – will leave you fully well and truly relaxed and re-charged. Try the authentic affusion massage in the tranquil cave spa room. It involves a dynamic body massage with warm herbal oil for 25 minutes, followed by spraying cold and warm fresh sea water all over your body to release toxins. Staying all inclusive at a resort allows you to enjoy unlimited privileges and means you won’t need to worry about tallying the bill at the end of your stay – afterall, you don’t want to have anything to worry about when on holiday.  And for longer all inclusive stays at the Grand Mirage Resort, they’ll even give you a voucher that you can put towards spa treatments.
