Darwin Symphony Orchestra to perform at Ayers Rock

Uluru (Ayers Rock) will take centre stage this October as the Darwin Symphony Orchestra will perform for the first time to this magnificent, iconic backdrop. Tickets are now on sale for this world-class concert series on 18th and 19th October 2013 with prices starting from AU$95 plus booking fee. Uluru opera The opening night presents Viva Verdi, an operatic spectacular celebrating the 200th anniversary of Giuseppe VerdiÂ’s birth, with Opera Australia Principal Artists Emma Matthews (soprano) and James Egglestone (tenor). The second evening at Uluru – Sounds of Australia – will feature a showcase of Iindigenous and contemporary Australian music, including jazz musician James Morrison and didgeridoo player William Barton. A maximum of 1,200 tickets are available for each Uluru concert. The ‘Ultimate ExperienceÂ’, priced at AU$495 plus booking fee, includes the Sounds of Silence dinner, premium concert ticket, drinks package and the opportunity to meet the orchestra after the show.
