Best Travel and Tourism Blog – and the nominations are…

It’s obviously awards season at the moment. No sooner had I heard that I’d been nominated for the award of Best Travel Influencer in awards being collectively run by technology magazine WIRED and the luxury luggage brand TUMI (click here for details on how to vote and for the chance to win a holiday to Phuket), another email came through informing me that I’d also been nominated for the award of Best Travel & Tourism Blog in the inaugural Vuelio Blog Awards, scheduled for the evening of 27th November 2015 and being held at The Brewery at 52 Chiswell Street, London EC1Y 4SD.

The Brewery

There are blog award categories for Art & Film, Beauty, Business & Finance, Education, Fashion, Food & Drink, Health & Fitness, Interior Design & Architecture, Media, PR & Marketing, Newcomer, Parenting, Politics, Sports and – last but by no means least – Travel & Tourism.

Vuelio Blog Awards

In the Travel & Tourism category, I am in great company with fellow nominees being Mrs. O Around The World, A Lady in London and Two Monkeys Travel. And judging the awards will be Siobhan Freegard (Founder of Netmums), Ben Smith (Founder of PRmoment), Neil Stinchcombe (Director at Eskenzi PR) and Julie Hermans (Vuelio’s resident blog expert). Good luck everyone!

For those of you who haven’t heard of Vuelio – and you probably wouldn’t have unless you work in marketing or PR in some capacity – they are a leading global provider of PR software. (Earlier this year, they also acquired the UK operations of the global PR software giant Cision.)

I agree with Lilian: I am following you via Twitter and I have seen how much you are growing. When someone tells me that the travel bloggers are something related to niches, I always show your blog as a (good) example of travel inspiration.
