Photograph of the week: Sailing in traditional dhows in Chole Bay, Mafia Island

Setting sail in traditional Dhows in Chole Bay, Mafia Island for sun downer drinks in the most idyllic of settings. Mafia Island is most well known for its exceptional diving and snorkeling – especially in its superbly conserved Marine Park. Besides what can be seen under the blue waters of the Indian Ocean there are also other activities which should be utilised – such as sunset cruises on traditional, hand-built dhows. With as perfect a sunset as you will see this shot was taken on Chole Bay, with the sail and starboard section of the bow effortlessly framing the vibrantly coloured ocean and sister ship in the distance.
