4 ways to experience farm-to-table Los Cabos
San José Mercado Organico. Taking place just a short drive from downtown San José del Cabo, this seasonal market takes place on Saturdays, November through May from 9 am to 3 pm. Along with an abundance of in-season organic produce, youll find many local vendors offering their products including jewelry, baskets and more. Plus, youll often get to enjoy live music in this lively and family-friendly atmosphere.
Another farmers market takes place at the Shoppes at Palmilla situated at Km. 27 on the Transpeninsular Highway just outside of San José del Cabo. This is another seasonal market during the winter months taking place Fridays from 9 am to 1 pm. In addition to great produce, youll be able to purchase freshly baked breads, jewelry, salsas and flowers. Plus, youll be able to also browse the many shops at this small luxury boutique mall offering everything from designer clothing to unique home good.
2. Flora Farms
If youre willing to venture off the beaten path for an unforgettable experience, head to Flora Farms where youll discover a working organic farm along with a unique dining venue at Floras Field Kitchen. The beautiful dining area opens to views of the fields and you can enjoy an ever-changing gourmet menu highlighting the freshest ingredients in season including creative cocktails. 3. Los Tamarindos
Another organic treasure for food enthusiasts, Los Tamarindos is situated just outside of San José del Cabo. This property dates to the 19th century and features an organic farm, an outstanding restaurant, an organic market and a gift shop. Come to enjoy the wonderful cuisine and take advantage of the great cooking classes where youll learn how to prepare a 4-course meal using produce gathered from their garden.
4. Acre
A newer addition on the vibrant farm-to-table dining scene in Los Cabos, Acre occupies a scenic 25 acre parcel of farmland. Just outside of San José del Cabo, this restaurant and cocktail bar focuses on delivering an innovative internationally-inspired menu featuring regional produce and ingredients.
