Family fun

The Baranci Mountain in San Candido/Innichen, is the ideal white paradise for children and discoverers of Winter sports. The sledges are loaded onto the chair lift up to the mountain hut from where you can race to the bottom. The San Candido ski school is one of the best schools of South Tyrol for introducing children to the sport. They also offer a nursery school so that parents can be free to enjoy some free time on the snow.

White adrenaline rush

The courageous drivers of the snow-cats have decided to allow the public to experience the thrill of being their passengers as they work to get the slopes back to perfection after a busy day of skiing. Different slopes and different gradients are on offer, including the steepest slope in Italy, where the snow-cat has to be secured by winches. The rapid and steep descent back to the valley station ensures a genuine free fall experience. The free fall ride allows one to appreciate the hard work that goes into maintaining the ski slopes.

Another mountain with much to do in this unique Alpine destination, is Croda Rossa. Two cable cars reach this winterland with fun activities for children and adults.Known for it’s huge and friendly snowmen and for the small reindeer herd which visitors can help to feed. This mountain is also notorious for comprising the steepest slope in Italy! With a 72% incline, it is made up of two parts, the second steeper than the first. Here too you will find a suspenseful 5 km sledging trail which winds it’s way down the mountain through woods and fields.

A Christmas tale

From this year the Three Peaks Dolomites ski resort will offer it’s visitors a true Christmas ambiance. The best chefs of the area, already known as having the best restaurants in Italy, will be offering special Christmas dishes in selected mountain huts. Children will be enthralled to be able to post their letters to Father Christmas in a real post office high up in the white mountains and count the stars of the huge tree with a thousand lights. Down in the valley the quaint and well-tended Christmas market of San Candido with it’s array of local products, adds to the charm of this romantic mountain town.

The five mountains which make up this unspoiled ski carousel can be admired via an incomparable summit tour on skis. making use of some of the 32 state of the art cable cars and unbeatable ski shuttle to connect all areas and give the skier an unforgettable experience. For those who prefer not to ski alone, a professional ski instructor is on hand to allow you to live this experience to the full.
