Choose from two stunning new Tatonka backpacks (in either case, CORDURA has your back)

Packing for a trip that you hope will be the adventure of a lifetime? Well, anticipation is all part of the excitement. And the pack itself is going to be your constant companion, carrying every last thing you might need over the next few days, weeks or even months. Not just the essentials, but all those almost irreplaceable items like your phone, laptop and camera. Everything that’s important to you personally. So Tatonka – with their legendary experience of trekking in all its forms – has come up with the new Bison concept engineered with CORDURA® fabric. And to make it even more individual, there are two options. The Bison 90+10 in a men’s/unisex design, and the Bison 60+10 which is adapted to be a better choice for women. Back-friendly backpacks to lighten the load The more you can get in to your backpack, the more you’ll get out of your trip. And the Bison 90+10 with its 90L capacity is Tatonka’s biggest yet. And while the lighter 60+10 version may be smaller, it has all the same advanced features. The one we think you’ll love most (especially on a long trip) is the Optimized X1 carrying system for loads over 25 kg, which includes a shaped hip belt to transfer the load more efficiently into the pelvic area. Making for a better fit, and less stress on your back. CORDURA® will be with you every step of the way Where are you going, and how will you get there. Some undiscovered Shangri-La in mist topped mountains, or other well-kept secret destination that’s well off the beaten track? With your pack thrown in the luggage hold of a plane, or lashed onto the roof of whatever local transport’s available – be it a bus or a donkey? Well, your Bison will arrive in good shape because it’s constructed in rugged CORDURA® fabric. This exceptionally durable trail blazer with enhanced abrasion resistance and tear strength is trusted by global explorers to survive every trip – and come back more than eager to go again. So, have a great time. We just wish we were coming with you. 1. Take it from me you don’t want to economise on a backpack. Before walking The Dales Way, I thought about getting a new backpack but decided it was extravagant. My trusty old backpack would see me through. It only took a couple of hours of walking on the first morning for me to discover, from painful experience, that it was a decision that I’d come to regret.

  2. Once you’ve got a quality backpack you’ll be surprised how much use you’ll get from it. I love mine and it goes somewhere with me almost every weekend. My friends joke that eventually I’ll need to have it surgically removed.

  3. Wisely my parents bought me a Tatonka backpack for my gap year. Four months later, after some gruelling Asian experiences, we came back. It looked in much better condition than I did having done a great job of keeping all my possessions safe and dry.

  4. I didn’t know Cordura supply fabrics for other brands too, that says something about the quality. These look really good. I tend to go budget on a lot of things but there are some, like a decent backpack, that are worth investing in. I imagine these would last you a long time and should wear pretty well while being comfy, which is important when you’re talking about a heavy weight that could otherwise be pretty painful and damaging to carry. With the books I used to have to take to class I think I should have had one of these as a kid in high school!
