In love with Turkey aboard HIC SALTA and why you should book your Mediterranean holiday now

The Greek and Turkish coasts are a haven for fun seekers, sun worshippers and culture lovers who want days exploring ancient wonders and nights partying under starry night skies, and luxury gulets like HIC SALTA are the most efficient way to see and do it all in style. Bodrum Bodrum is a first and/or last stop for many luxury yacht charters because of the incredible ancient sites to visit, among them the Mausoleum of Halicarnassus – one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Turkey’s other wonder is the Temple of Artemis at Ephesus farther north, where charter yachts can spend the morning touring the ruins to return to lunch and drinks under a canopy on the miles-long Pamucak Beach. Gocek Gocek is a favourite seaside destination for land-based tourists and yacht charter parties alike: Situated within a national park, the surrounding scenery is stunning, and there are 12 islands to leave behind the crowds and find your own untouched beach for sunbathing, snorkelling, beach parties and meals along the shore at sunset. The town itself is a destination blessed with sunshine for most of the year, and the warm weather starts to show in April and remains through to late October. Stroll through the streets and make your way to the old fort, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, then spoil yourself and your loved ones with gifts, souvenirs and accessories in the boutiques and bazaars. The tombs of aptly named and picturesque Tomb Bay are just a short cruise to the west, and heading farther east will take guests to Fethiye, passing by the Katrancı Bay Nature Park and numerous choice beaches in quiet bays along the way. Fethiye Fethiye is an eclectic blend of the ancient, old and modern that all rests within walking distance of the harbour: The Af Tower sits upon the hill close to the Ancient Rock Tombes carved into the cliffs, while delectable scents of traditional restaurants fill the air of harbour-side Old Town. The Fethiye Museum is best viewed after a visit to Kaunos, Tlos or the other nearby sites to better understand the exhibits in context, and the 5,000-year-old ruins of Kadyanda can be walked within an hour. Watersports enthusiasts will be well catered to as well: The area has some excellent dive sites as well as ideal conditions for surfing. KaÅŸ KaÅŸ is considered one of the best snorkelling and Scuba diving destinations along the Turkish Riviera and visitors young and old can have close encounters with turtles, basking sharks and thousands of tiny glittering fish over maze-like reefs. S/Y HIC SALTA Never miss a moment of the scenic Eastern Mediterranean when you can live life outdoors in comfort aboard luxury gulet HIC SALTA: Dine alfresco on the shaded aft deck and savour one delectable plate after another from the talented onboard chef. The cocktail creations are just as amazing and make the perfect birthday treat… or just another little indulgence you can work off the next day. Rest and soak up the sunshine on the broad stern sun pads or the sunbeds across the foredeck, and as the evening approaches settle into the sofa and watch the sky become as colourful as your cocktails before the first stars sparkle over the Aegean Sea. Luxury yacht HIC SALTA is bound to impress on your wedding party, honeymoon, birthday or other special occasion thanks to her expertly crafted interiors in mahogany complemented by cream furnishings. This traditional appearance has been given a subtle 21st Century update in the curves and minimal decor within, and lighting from spotlights and wall sconces let the group choose the ambience after dark. A large bar accompanies the grand dining area, and after an exhausting but satisfying day swimming with the local wildlife or hiking to ruins concealed in deep forest, a film on the pop-up widescreen TV will be a welcome way to wind down before bedtime. When it comes to the overnight accommodation, there are 5 ample en-suite cabins to sleep up to 10 guests: 1 Master suite, 2 VIP staterooms and 2 twin cabins. The Master Suite in the stern uses the full beam to give its occupants a king-sized bed, sofa and widescreen TV, plus the usual amenities of a desk/vanity and ample wardrobe space. The en-suite bathroom has the same beautiful mahogany surroundings with his-and-hers sinks, a toilet and a large shower. The VIP staterooms might not be as large, but they do have bathtubs in the en-suite bathrooms for that added luxury to unwind at the end of a busy day. 1. For those of us who live in Britain, Turkey could be a shrewd bet for a reasonably priced holiday. The pound will probably fall against the Euro but the pound should be OK against Turkish currency.

  2. It all looks so serene, great aerial picture of the yacht. Love to get some friends together to do this in the summer, may be autumn. Things looking up with the Oxford vaccine approved.

  3. It’ll have to be a VIP Stateroom for me please. I have never got on with showers. If I’m going to relax at the end of the day I need to take my time in a bath. That does far more for aching muscles than a quick shower.

  4. What a magical venue for a big group celebration – birthdays, anniversaries etc – that’s what I’d normally think. But so many people are desperate both for a very special holiday and to get together with family or friends that I can see this gulet getting booked up for month after month.
