Many thanks for this. Let’s hope that every single one of these events actually takes place.
With my glass half-full I’m beginning to cautiously hope that 2022 will be the year when travel starts to return to normal. As evidence appears it seems that as long as you are fully vaccinated the Omicron variant isn’t really that bad.
I think the immediate short term problem with omicron will be whether services can continue with depleted staff numbers. If the NHS, for example, can’t function because of so many staff isolating, then something will have to be done, whether it be further restrictions, shortening the isolation period, or something else.
This is an extensive list which shows how important tourism is to the global economy. The fact that you could probably have doubled the number of entries demonstrates tourism’s significance even further.
..and bear in mind that these are events that have a luxury travel focus. There are many other (many much larger) events for tourism as a whole (eg. ITB, World Travel Market, etc.)

Yes, fingers crossed, Jack… I don’t expect them all to happen, but we can but hope!
My prayer for 2022:
Please God let these events be real and not virtual.
