The very best from the world of skiing

The winners of the World Ski Awards – now in their ninth year – were announced recently and, whilst there are also many national awards, here is a round-up of the worldwide winners. As you will see, it was a great year for Switzerland! It was a double celebration for the Swiss resort of Verbier, in particular, picking up not just the World’s Best Ski Resort, but also for being home to the World’s Best Ski Hotel (W Verbier). Switzerland’s LAAX, home to the world’s largest halfpipe, was also named as the World’s Best Freestyle Resort. Here’s a full round-up of the worldwide winners:
