  1. Thanks for asking! Unfortunately I’m not going anywhere exciting this Spring. Plenty of great products here for when I finally get out of work to travel which could be in June.

    1. I hope you are able to get away in June, Hilary… I’m fortunate enough to be heading to Portugal in 10 days so really looking forward to that.

  2. It really is the era of the backpack isn’t it? They’re taking over the world.

If you’re hiking the Appalachian Way you’ll spot them and if you’re on the way to a meeting in the Big Apple they’ll be running wild there too.

And that backpack by Tom Bihn is a particularly fine example of the species.

    1. I know they’re often associated with budget travel – particularly the larger packs – but compact ones can be really useful no matter how you travel – for city breaks, for trails in the countryside and many more scenarios. And there are some realy great ones on the market nowdays, like the Tom Bihn one, that have been really thoughtfully designed.

  3. I thought 30 minutes of reading would help me get over my insomnia and get me back to sleep. The thing is that I’m now excited about that Clarity Train Case.

  4. The anti-chafe swimwear is a brilliant idea. Chaffing is a problem that I get on holiday as I try to swim off the effects of the all-inclusive bars and restaurants.

    1. Chafing can be very uncomfortable and it’s the last thing you want when you’re trying to relax and enjoy time away, so definitely worth investing in a few NoNetz items.

  5. I’m back from a huge holiday villa and it wasn’t up to scratch when it came to music. That Rocksteady Stadium Audio would have been very useful.

  6. Getting to sleep is getting harder and harder. It could be time to give the sleep mask a try.

    1. They can be really useful for helping you get to sleep. And being silk, you can wear this one and barely notice that you even have it on.

  7. Even if I’m getting too old for hero worship I always loved to watch Roger Federer on court. And those shades have the same effortless style.

  8. Not only is the NoNetz swimwear a great innovative product it also scores a million points for recycling old fashion nets. It’s a winner at every level.

  9. My boyfriend is a travel addict. There couldn’t be a better present for him than that Traveler’s tee.

  10. If that watch is typical of the style of the CFB capsule collection, they’re probably going to have a lot of winners on their hands. I’d be very happy to model that one for them.

  11. When we went on holiday as a child, looking back from the comforts of middle age, I’ve got to admit that I didn’t used to enjoy it.

As kids we were rationed as to what clothes and toys we were allowed to take on holiday. It felt to me that we were leaving all our comforts behind.

This post shows how much things have changed. All of these little luxuries make such a big difference to travel.

    1. It’s fascinating how our perspectives evolve over time, isn’t it Elaine? Now, with all these modern conveniences and luxuries available for travel, it’s truly a different experience. It’s amazing to see how much has changed and how these little luxuries enhance our journeys today.

  12. My headphones have nearly had their day. They look scruffy and the sound’s not as good as it once was. It could be time to investigate those Meze Audio 99 headphones.

    1. It sounds like it’s definitely time for an upgrade, Elaine! The Meze Audio 99 headphones are a great option. They have a stylish design and reputed sound quality – maybe time to treat yourself to some crisp, clear sound and a sleek new look?! 🙂

  13. The next trip. That’s the hallmark of the true traveler isn’t it?They’re always planning and looking forward to the next trip – and with all these products that trip is going to be luxurious.

    1. I hope you’re heading somewhere wonderful, Karen! We have pretty much all our trips planned for the next 6 months now… and a busy 6 months it’s going to be! 🙂

  14. This is the first time that I’ve taken a look at A Luxury Travel Blog. Reading this has certainly shifted my views on travel and raised my expectations. There’s a few little travel luxuries here that I’ll definitely be investing in.
