  1. I had been thinking that it was about time that we had another one of these guides. A number of my friends have birthdays in April and a few of them are very frequent travellers so I should be able to find some inspiration here. These guides make my life a little easier!!!

    1. Thanks, Jen… glad to be of help! We are producing these guides on a monthly basis now, so hopefully there’s plenty of year-round inspiration!

  2. It’s probably very sad but something like the SSD from Kingston Technology is becoming a necessity if you’re working whilst travelling. Nowadays, I frequently need to move round huge chunks of data.

  3. When it comes to fashion I can be a bit of a dinosaur, not keeping up with the latest trends. It’s good to catch up with what’s going on.

Though I think my days for wearing the Heidi Klein one piece are well and truly gone.

    1. Hi Sally – I certainly can’t claim to be at the cutting edge of fashion myself, but hopefully we provide plenty of ideas with these round-ups!

  4. My mother had a thing against giving money and vouchers saying that it was a lazy way of giving presents. I’ve always argued the opposite and that you are giving freedom to your friends and relatives. Giving them the freedom to do what they want. And does that get any truer than with those hotel gift vouchers?

    1. You’re right, Natasha… hotel gift vouchers are a great way to give a thoughtful gift to someone who you know loves to travel. They will always come in useful, and still provide the recipient with lots of options…

    1. Innovation and tech is moving at such incredible speed nowadays, especially with the advancements of AI. Makes you wonder what the future holds when it comes to communications.

  5. There may be Sori v in the air but some extreme weather lately tells me that I ought to be looking at that Helly Hensen jacket.

    1. Sori v? It took me a while, but I’m guessing that’s an autocorrect of “Spring”! 🙂 You’ll never go wrong with a jacket from Helly Hansen…

  6. Never heard of Blake Mill Shirts before, they look very impressive.

Though you have to ask questions about a shirt collar that was designed 53 times. Are they exhibiting OCD? Why didn’t they get it right earlier? How much has that design cost contributed to the price?

    1. Have a look at their site, Steven! They do some wonderful, quality shirts, all with unique collars and cuffs that really give you something different…

  7. Since I’ve retired, I haven’t kept up with technology and I know that’s a big mistake. I feel that I’m becoming something of a dinosaur.

Reading through this posts there are gadgets and gizmos that would improve my travels even if I’m not using them for work.

    1. It’s easily done, Jim! Even though I like to think I keep relatively up to date on the technology front, my kids still probably think I’m out of touch. 🙂

  8. My skin is definitely looking and feeling quite sorry for itself, definitely neglected for far too long. It could be time for some loving care from Power Up by This is Silk.

    1. Take a look at the reviews, Roxii, and you’ll see you’re buying a quality product. Every one of them so far is 5 stars, without exception.

  9. The Gorilla Pro Kit shows the way that things are heading. We all expect our holiday videos to be works of art like Tarantino movies. We’ll go for anything that helps us to get those production values.

    1. Hi Dave – that’s definitely a product that will give you plenty of versaility when out in the field. Conventional tripods are not always practical, and the gorilla pod is very portable as well as being able to be used in a variety of situations, such as in the photograph.

  10. Great timing for a post. At least I’ve got some time over Easter to browse through this properly. There’s some exciting products here.

  11. Getting kids through airports can be hard work, some airports are huge with lots of walking.

The micro scooter / slash micro case is a brilliant invention. That would really motivate my kids to get going, at the moment I dread airports when I’m travelling with the family.

    1. That’s a good point, Brad – not only fun for the kids, but also potentially very practical for those airports where you’re told you’re a 15+ minute walk from the gate!

  12. It’s my husband’s birthday soon and he’s into all sorts of techy-nerdy-gadgets that I don’t understand. Plenty of that sort of stuff here to happily keep him playing away for hours.

    1. Chatham make some great boots. My wife has one or two pairs, and our ‘kids’ have some Chatham sailing boots that they use all the when teaching younger children to sail.

  13. This is the first time that I’ve seen the Jump feature, it’s a great addition, very useful.

    1. Hi Attesh – you mean the contents box at the top? Oh, I’m glad you like it and find it useful! We’ve been using it for these kinds of articles ever since our site re-design. Nobody’s ever fed back their thoughts on this before, so thank you for voicing them!

  14. My husband never changes his shaving brush. I can’t ever remember him buying a new shaving brush. It’s probably a public health hazard by now.

I like the look of that stylish yellow one. It could be a subtle birthday present for him telling him to get his act together!

    1. Acqua di Parma make exceptional products of the highest quality. I’m sure he’ll probably never need a replacement again if you buy him that one… 🙂

  15. I’ve been a vegan for about 3 years now and it had never crossed my mind to think about switching to vegan brushes.

Now that I’ve thought it through, it makes sense to switch and they look much better quality than what I’ve got now.

  16. Reading through all these temptations and falling for some of them isn’t good for my credit card. There’s always so much good stuff recommended.
