New York's most expensive cocktail

On A Luxury Travel Blog, I’ve already brought you a $1000 sundae, a $5000 burger and a $90,000 bottle of white wine, so now it’s the turn of New York’s most expensive cocktail. Created by the head mixologist at Duvet, the cocktail is called the Duvet Platinum Passion and has at its heart L’ésprit de Courvoisier (approx. $6,000/bottle), combined with the rarest, oldest and finest cognacs dating as far back as the day of Napoleon. Other ingredients include Ruinart Champagne and Brendan’s special syrup. It was introduced in February 2005 and – at $1500 a throw – only four have been purchased to date.

The five star Marchant Hotel has reported sold two of its Mai Tai cocktails since it started offering them a few weeks back. I don’t know about the most expensive cocktails in the world but one of the best in new york that i recently had was in the Serafina restaurant outpost in the Dream hotel. It was a mango mojito and quite honestly was spectacular. so good i had to go back and try it again. By the way the food in Serafina was also excellent.
