Fine dining with whales

Whale in AlaskaThere can be more  to whale watching than meets the eye. One Alaskan business  is combining  whale watching with gourmet cuisine on Galley Gourmet’s dinner cruises. Husband and wife team Marty and Marion Owen share the chores: Marty, the Coast Guard licensed-skipper, drives the boat while Marion’s the chef. The 42-foot Sea Breeze is the setting for  their wonderful feast. The teak-finished yacht is delightfully appointed, and all on board are equipped with binoculars so they don’t miss out on sightings. 6-hour whale-watching excursions, which include a gourmet lunch, cost $250 per person and are limited to groups of 6.
