Hot air ballooning over South Africa

Johannesburg city slickers escape on the weekends to the Magaliesberg mountains, and justifiably so – its natural beauty provides a relaxing refuge from the grind of urban existence. A wonderful way to appreciate the area’s grassy slopes, waterfalls and dramatic rock formations is by going on a hot air balloon trip. Watch the sunrise and the patchwork land change colour as you gently drift over the veld, listening to the otherworldly silence. Most trips include a Champagne breakfast once you reach terra firma. See Bill Harrop’s ‘Original’ Balloon Safaris for more information.

I am desperate to take a hot air balloon trip, i am hoping to take a trip to south africa next year so think i will be trying to make this dream come true.

  2. Bill Harrop’s are one of the main air ballooning companies, but are by no means the only one operating in that area.
