Tubac Golf Resort & Spa, Arizona

Tubac Golf Resort & Spa lies just south of Tucson and is home to some of the best of Arizona’s lush green spaces and serene deserts. The resort houses a cutting edge golf course complete with 27 holes and it boasts the claim to fame that “Tin Cup” was filmed there. The first-class spa is surrounded by beautiful landscapes, clear blue skies, and picturesque mountains, and offers numerous revitalizing services sure to enhance the mind, body, and soul. Tubac’s stunning 18th century mission-style wedding chapel and its selection as Best of Weddings, 2011 by The Knot make it a popular spot for weddings. Near the resort are many boutique shops, museums, restaurants, and galleries, and various outdoor activities available such as mountain biking, horseback riding, hiking, bird-watching, and cave exploring. Tubac is pet-friendly and offers babysitting.

Close by the resort is Sonoita Vineyards, one of the first wineries in Arizona. The owner of the vineyard was revolutionary in starting the Arizona wine industry. On Saturday, 30th April 2011, the vineyard will be holding its 33rd Annual Blessing of Sonoita Vineyards Festival. The event will be from 10am-4pm, with the blessing at noon. There will be wine tastings and pairings, souvenirs, tours, wagon rides, and more for only $15 per person. Tubac Golf Resort & Spa offers box lunches available upon request for those visiting vineyards.

We have stayed at this resort 3 times and it is lovely. The rooms/haciendas are large and well appointed and the bathrooms are beautiful and huge! Great place to stay if you like to golf or have a spa/shop day!
