  1. What impressed me most about Club 1 Hotels is the fact that they are giving the free year without any tricks of auto renew. So many businesses get you to sign-up for a free period by asking for your credit card details. They know that you’ll forget to cancel at the end of the trial period. I like Club 1 Hotels’ honesty. They must have real confidence in their product believing that once consumers have tried the Club they’ll want to continue.

  2. Club 1 Hotels are clearly getting a lot of things right and going places in a hurry. Their ambition has already impressed a lot of important people. The list of hotel chains they’ve already signed up is highly impressive as are their flight and car-hire partners. Obviously the way they operate, favouring consumers who book more than seven days ahead of arrival, will still leave a market for other online agencies. Yet all the signs are that they will continue to grow their market share. In my opinion they will be a major player.

  3. I’m going to sign-up. I’ve got nothing to lose.

If they can deliver the discounts they’re promising then I’ll be saving big.

They could become the ultimate one-stop- shop for travel.

  4. There’s some heavy stats there. 203 countries means they’ve got virtually all the bases covered – well all the bases that are safe to visit.

You can’t argue with 20,000 destinations either.

I like to have my next five holidays booked so the seven day thing doesn’t worry me.

I know there’s no cost to signing up but I’d still like to have a play on the site to see what the savings are like and which hotels they’ve got where.

    1. I’m intrigued because, although opinions vary slightly depending on how you define a country, most estimates would agree that there are just under 200 countries in the world.

  5. Sounds almost too good to be true. The bit I don’t get is the $500 credits thing?

Do you have to pay for for your hotel in full when you book? How does it work? Are you charged when you book? Just before you stay? Or when you check out?

  6. I’m amazed that I haven’t heard of Club 1 Hotels before. It seems as if they are mainly marketing to the USA at the moment, all of the $ signs are a giveaway.

I expect they’ll try a U.K. campaign soon. I would expect a good take-up. Like many millennials I take a lot of weekend breaks. Some Country House one’s in the U.K. and some in European Cities.

  7. Little bit annoying that when you click on join and give your first name, last name and email, you’re then taken to a much longer form asking for the exact same information again, plus additional info. Why not just ask for this from the start so people know what details they will have to divulge instead of trying to lure them with what looks like a very short form?

  8. This looks pretty similar to RCI, which I’ve been a member of for years. They have cruises too. I want to try this one and see which one is better to keep. It also helps that Club 1 is offering free membership, it’s a brilliant move on their part.

  9. One year free membership even without a credit card? How exciting can this get? I’m signing up to see if there are no hidden surprises. But also to try it for booking my next travel with Club 1 Hotels. I hope they fulfill their promise of giving me hassle-free travel from flights, transfers and even hotel rooms at discounted prices. How come I’ve only heard of this now?

    1. Oh wow… I’m a travel blogger and I’d never heard of Club 1 until now. What a great idea. It sounds too good to be true, but all the comments here are so positive I’m going to give it a try… Excited!

  10. What’s not to like? The fact that you don’t have to give them your credit card details makes me think that this is a real winner. I feel that I can trust these guys. They’ve got a great product and they know it. They’re not relying on you forgetting to cancel the charge. As far as I’m concerned signing up is a no brainier.
