7 reasons this is the most expensive chalet in the Alps

Here at SkiBoutique we are rightly proud of the properties we present. We set the bar high in the selection process and rightly so after all we’ve positioned ourselves as providers of the very best luxury chalets that the Alps have to offer. Even so, occasionally a property will come along that is exceptional in every regard, Chalet Edelweiss is that beast. A superbly appointed chalet from start to finish, we’re proud to represent this stunning porperty. Chalet Edelweiss in Courchevel 1850 costs up to 0.5 million Euros to rent over the peak periods of the ski season. How can anything be worth that much I hear you cry? Intrigued? I was too and I’ve been lucky enough to take a tour and find out how that could possibly be. 1. An entrance fit for super heroes When yours is the address of all addresses, you want to know that your privacy is not going to be compromised. Right off the bat you’re going to feel pretty special as the solid black gates that stand guard over the Bellecote Hamlet roll back to allow you access. Whilst your chauffeur will have you inside Chalet Edelweiss’ private car lift and your underground garage sooner than you can say Jack Robinson. You can be forgiven for feeling a little bit like royalty as your car descends into the depths of this cavernous property. 2. On another level Three floors would be considered a pretty generously appointed property in the Alps by anyones standards. Well double that and then add one more floor for good measure, that’s the scale we’re talking about here. Then connect all those floors (with what is surely The Alps most grandest of spiral staircases) and you cannot fail to feel dizzy and mightily impressed at the lavishness of it all. 3. Roll out the white carpet With 7 floors of expansive luxury and 8 lavish bedrooms, you could perhaps be forgiven for wanting to spend all your time cocooned in exceptional luxury. You will find it hard to leave Chalet Edelweiss. However, when you are staying in the most enviable address in the Alps, you will be able to walk straight out onto the slopes as if you own the Bellecote Piste. People will ski past, open mouthed, that you are the privileged guest of this seven storey piste-side palace. 4. Ski back to your own après ski party What an amazing venue for a special occasion or something worth celebrating. With your very own private nightclub, look no further than Chalet Edelweiss to carry you from day to night. How about booking your favourite DJ? With 130m2 of bar and floor space and a capacity for 100 people, this night will be remembered long into next season. With the cold left outside, the only thing feeling the chill will be champagne. 5. Invite all your favourite people to dinner You would expect the fine dining here to match the standard already set. And there is only one standard here that your Head Chef accepts and that is one of exceeding luxurious expectation. Your pre-arrival menu consultation ensures that your every whim will be satisfied, anything less just won’t be acceptable. From your daily breakfast and the most exquisite of afternoon teas to lavish canapés with your favourite aperitif. You can expect dining to reach loftier heights than Chalet Edelweiss’ jaw-dropping central spiral staircase. 6. Bathing with lions At the end of a long day of skiing, being seen at lunch and mingling at après, you want to ensure you are fully recharged for the same again tomorrow. Time to swap ski boots for slippers and ski jacket for spa robe and lose yourself into the most luxurious of all wellness suites. Your gaze is drawn to the staggeringly beautiful 13m x 4.50m pool but you also have the sauna, steam room, indoor Jacuzzi, relaxation room and double massage room in which to indulge yourself. 7. An astonishing week of luxury beyond your expectations At Chalet Edelweiss you get what you pay for, no short measures. Every aspect of your stay will live up to your expectations and beyond. Guaranteed. A week or two here will live long in the memory and leave you with a sense of satisfaction rarely matched. Chalet Edelweiss is more than an exceptional luxury chalet it is an exceptional experience. Danny Frith is Director at SkiBoutique. SkiBoutique is a luxury ski chalet agency based in Switzerland. 1. It’s a very popular chalet Brian and has seen some very interesting VIP guests along the way. It’s amazing what they’re adding to these luxury chalets, they just keep getting bigger and better.

    1. Hey Tiffany, the chalets are just getting bigger and better every year. It certainly would be hard to leave the chalet with those levels of luxury.

  1. Dan, do you really feel that you can do the chalet justice after only having had a tour?

Weren’t you tempted to ask for a full week’s stay to really get to know the place?

    1. Colin, you read my mind. To be honest I was thinking more along the lines of a full season ;-)
