Every guest is presented with a pillow sampling tray upon arrival to help them chose whether they would prefer to lay their head each night on feathers, cotton or one of the other options available at the resort. They can hold each sample of pillow type before deciding which they would prefer. Once a decision is made, the bellman will provide accordingly. This offering combined with the resort’s unique turndown service sets the tone for an even better night’s sleep. Each evening, unless a guest state they would prefer to not have the turndown service, guests will arrive back to their suite with the lights slightly dimmed, the sheets turned down, slippers ready for them to dip their feet into and a hand-crafted figurine. The delicately created and hand-painted keepsakes are known as Alebrijes and are made by local artists.   1. We’d never thought of Cancun and Mexico as a place to go for a holiday. If we stayed here Cancun would really be on our agenda.

    1. As long as you travel at the right time of year I can’t recommend Cancun highly enough. We’ve had some great holidays there.

  2. I think Wyndham’s plan to focus on creating opulent 21st century hotels tells us where the travel industry wants to head. It’s looking as if the luxury segment will be the place to be.

    I can see mass market package travel being squeezed from all directions. Rising fuel prices putting up air fares, inflation hit food prices increasing hotel prices and consumers having less and less disposable income.

    There will still be casualties in the luxury segment but it looks a better bet.

  3. It really looks a very, very special place. It would make for a wonderful destination for a big celebration for a big birthday or anniversary.
