A new tour company has just started in Jalisco, Mexico. Called the Tequila Magical Mystery Tour, Jalisco Magical Mystery Tours is offering a tour that gives an alternative hands-on experience in the tequila valley. The tour takes travelers to Guachimontones, the largest pyramids in western Mexico, an obsidian workshop, and the the popular 17th Century Hacienda El Carmen for a sumptuous lunch, tequila tasting and live entertainment.
I have taken the tour and it’s really fun! We danced on the ruins, blew the conch shell at the top, and played ancient ball on the court at the pyramids. Hacienda El Carmen is not to be believed–what a step into the past! The tequila tasting was a lot more than tequila, other stuff I never had heard of!
All in all, a great day and a great bargain for the price of 55 USD that includes everything, even wine at lunch!
