Luxury travel treats: Lumie Zest light, Bugaboo Fox pushchair and more

The focus for this week’s round-up is on products that make travel a little easier, whether it be a gadget to combat jet lag, a travel pushchair system that makes trips with little ones more bearable, portable skin care products or even iPhone wires that last. We hope you find something here that enables you to travel just a little more smoothly. Zest light from Lumie This handy-sized light for home, work or travel (mains-powered) is ideal for use as part of a jet lag plan. The Zest light from Lumie can be used as a wake-up light for a natural start to the day. Waking up with a gradual sunrise is a signal for your body to ease production of sleep hormones (e.g. melatonin) and increase those that help you get up and go (e.g. cortisol). Wake-up lights help to keep your sleep cycle on track, boosting mood, energy and productivity levels all day. Fox pushchair from Bugaboo Whether you’re at home or on your travels, the Bugaboo Fox is designed to fit your lifestyle. Travelling and exploring the outdoors has never been easier thanks to the smoothest ride, the lightest push and their best driving performance yet. Its advanced all-wheel suspension and big tyres give a stable, steady ride on any surface; whether it’s a smooth airport floor or a bumpy trail. Aesop Jet Set Travel Collection from Liberty London Whether you travel by plane, train or car, first-class skin and hair products make all the difference on arrival. Aesop’s small, eminently portable Jet Set kit, available from Liberty London contains all you need to smooth your journey. Each bottle contains just 50 ml of the following products: Aesop Classic Shampoo, Aesop Classic Conditioner, Aesop Geranium Leaf Body Cleanser and Aesop Rind Concentrate Body Balm. Born from humble beginnings in the wilds of 1987 Melbourne, Aesop has grown into one of the world’s most sought-after skincare brands, now appearing in bathroom cabinets across the globe. Botanical blends for skin, hair and body are crafted for sensory pleasure as well as exceptional quality, geared towards a healthy body and a sustainable lifestyle. Apple MFi certified lightning to USB cable from Fospower This Apple MFi certified braided fabric cable with aluminum connectors from Fospower will sync and charge your lightning equipped device simultaneously. It’s compatible with most cases due to its sleek design and the slim, durable connector. It comes complete with 4,000+ bend lifespan, ensuring a long-lasting cable. 1. These are some great travel accessories. I love the zest light I was skeptical at first but it actually works. It’s a great way to start the day and is actually really good for those of us travellers who suffer from sad. Getting that natural style lighting is really good for you and a refreshing change to waking up to a hammering alarm. The usb cable is also very handy.

    1. Thanks for stopping by, Anna. Good for people who suffer from jet lag, too. They say that to help conquer jet lag, you need to get into the daytime rhythm of your destination as soon as possible, and to even start preparing for it before you even depart (doing little things like changing the settings on your watch can all help). But this light can also help trick your mind and body into getting into that right routine. I am just back from a 4-night trip to Australia (yes, all the way from the UK to Australia for just 4 nights!!) and strangely I’m not suffering much jet lag at all. My only guess is that, because I went for such a short time, my body clock never really truly adjusted to the new timezone in the first instance, so the adjustment coming back hasn’t been so bad.

  2. We didn’t have such luxuries as the Fox Pushchair from Bugaboo back in my days of parenting! We used to buy a dirt cheap pushchair for as few francs or pesatas as possible – yes it was that long ago – when we got to the resort. They were probably death-traps and had probably starred in the Spanish version of “Watchdog”. Anyway I’ll know what to buy my grown-up children when they have children of their own. It’ll make a great Christmas present.

  3. I’ve got a friend, with an enviable complexion, who swears on Aesop products. Even when she’s had a long, tough day she still looks great. Note to self: try Aesop.
