  1. This article really made me feel like I’m already in a food coma while I didn’t touch anything yet! That cheese board would certainly hit the spot for me!

  2. Thank you for this reminder. There’s less than 3 weeks to go, both the cupboard and freezer are looking empty. As I’ve got all the children returning I need to do some stocking up. Plenty here to please them.

    1. At least you have an empty freezer to put things in, Maggie! I think we still need to do a bit more ‘using up’ of the contents of ours before we can stock up for Christmas.

  3. We’re neither vegan or vegetarian and have slowly gone off meat and poultry over the years. The Feast of Seven Fishes sounds just the thing for us for a meal over the holidays. Luckily our grown-up kids are happy with fish too.

    1. As a pescatarian, that one is definitely my pick from the list too. I notice it even includes a jar of Wulf’s Bowfin Caviar to go on the two lobster halves. Seems like a great deal given what’s included!!!

    1. I’ve never heard of them but I’m going to have to look it up now! Our turkey last year was a little disappointing!!

  4. It’s about time that Cranberry sauce was reinvented, some of them have become bland. The New England Cranberry relish could be what I’ve been looking for, a bit more zingy and zesty.

    1. I hadn’t thought about this, Ted… but you’re right. I think they add a lot more sugar nowadays to calm down the sharpness of natural cranberries.

  5. Lobster and corn, two of my favourite tastes. Put them together in a chowder and you’ve got a marriage made in heaven.

    1. I haven’t had a chowder in years. Such a great winter warmer, and a little more satisfying than a normal soup.

  6. Having a Tootie Pie trio in the pantry, gives you flexibility over the holidays. Believe it or not there are people who don’t like Pecan Pie so it’s nice to have different options to offer.

  7. I’m thinking of getting the Flannery Beef gift box but not as a gift for anyone else. Some tender steak after all the Christmas poultry would be something to look forward.

  8. No idea what ditalini macaroni is or what panko breadcrumbs are!

Everything else is a winner for me on those lobster Mac and cheese poppers. Once I got started on a plate of those I wouldn’t be able to stop.

    1. Ditalini macaroni is essentially very small macaroni, whilst panko breadcrumbs are a Japenese style of breadcrumbs (usually quite dry so they don’t absorb too much oil), often used for deep frying.

  9. Tastes of the World is a nice idea. If you can’t get away for Christmas or haven’t got a holiday booked for a while then the Gift Pack brings the world to you.

    1. Very useful flavors here for spicing up those leftovers you always get at this time of year. This set would make holiday menu planning a lot easier.

  10. What a great seasonal idea the Santa’s Workshop Sampler is. Getting ready for Christmas isn’t just hungry work for the elves.

  11. That Gingerbread House making kit would provide a lot fun. Doubt that our family’s results would look as professional as the one in the picture.

  12. Usually the panettone that I’ve been given have been plain. The Borsari one is more my sort of thing with fruit. Though it’s almost worth having for the tin. Get a useful tin like that and it’ll get 2 decades service in our house.

  13. Less than 2 weeks to go until the big day. All these Xmas treats are now in season. Time to start the holiday celebrations.

  14. Thanks for this great selection of really good ideas. It’s all too easy to get stuck in a rut over Christmas food. A lot of fantastic food products which should make this Christmas a lot more exciting.

  15. I’ve got a couple of friends who would make the most of that tastes of the world gift set. They are always searching out new recipes to try.
